Do the shirts have special care instructions?

We use high-quality Procion dyes and heavy cotton t-shirts from Gildan and other quality companies. All items are triple-washed in special color setting detergent, so they are colorfast. However, we do recommend washing them with similar colors in cold water for the first few times. Hand painted or screen printed items should be washed in cold water, inside out.

Can you dye MY shirt?

Yes, we can as long as it is 100% cotton. There is a $2 discount if you send your own shirt. Please be aware that tie-dye is not an exact science and sometimes the results are not exactly what we'd like. Using our own shirts, you'd never get to see the "bummer", but with yours, there is a slight risk that it won't be "just so", so we can't be responsible if that is the case.

How long will it take?

Most orders take about three to four weeks depending on the work load and the number of shirts in the order. Sometimes an order needs to be held for "batching" with another. Please remember that we are a cottage business, and your items are unique creations we make for you. Sometimes, unforeseen circumstances can delay an order (out of stock garment, printer issues), so please be patient. If you are in a hurry or have a deadline, we can sometimes offer rush service (fee applies). Please contact us for more information.
